SystemX, in partnership with Renault Group, ESI Group, OP Mobility, and Stellantis, has developed an innovative solution to revolutionize the management of simulation processes and data in the development of industrial systems.
This demonstrator is being applied specifically in the automotive sector to shorten development cycles and enhance their robustness. The developed demonstrator supports the deployment of reliable and efficient simulations within industrial systems. It includes:
-
A simulation specification tool, based on 24 requirements filtered according to the development phase of the system and the criticality of the simulation.
-
A simulation fidelity assessment tool, structured around six key dimensions, such as experimental validation and the management of margins and uncertainties.
By relying on recognized approaches and standards (e.g., MIC Core, NASA STD7009B, PCMM, COSTA), these tools promote collaboration between model providers and users, even when operating in different organizations.
The experiments carried out under the AFS project (Agility and Fidelity of Simulations) at IRT SystemX have demonstrated the concrete benefits of these solutions for the automotive industry, notably:
-
Accelerating the integration of a hydrogen system supplied by an equipment manufacturer into an electric vehicle architecture.
-
Reducing misunderstandings between OEMs and suppliers, thereby limiting the number of required iterations and ultimately shortening the overall design cycle.
This demonstrator marks a key milestone in strengthening the competitiveness and innovation capacity of automotive industry stakeholders, while addressing the sector’s technological and environmental challenges.
